This rare stone has only been found in two localities in the world, in Canada and Australia and both these deposits are now depleted. Its colour is pale green through to apple green with brown inclusions and is named from the location it was first discovered on the Gaspe Peninsula in Canada. Australian aboriginals have used the earth energy of this crystal since ancient times to aid in experiencing visions. It is used to help us let go of unwanted baggage and is ideal for supporting weight loss or to make de-cluttering our lives easier.

Geological Description

Gaspeite is a form of nickel carbonate with a hardness of 4.5 -5, and is only found in Western Australia and Quebec, Canada. Another deposit of green nickel carbonate stone has been found in New South Wales, Australia, which is similar to Gaspeite however it has different properties.
